The vTuned Garage channel on YouTube has gained a loyal following for purchasing wrecked sports cars and performing impressive full rebuilds on them, documenting the process. From supercars to performance cars and muscle cars, vTuned Garage has videos showing a wide range of rebuild projects.

Of those, the Chevrolet Corvette is arguably one of the greatest American namesakes ever to grace the streets. GM Fans will enjoy vTuned's latest video documenting the rebuild process of a wrecked 2022 C8 Chevrolet Corvette. Trailering the sad sports car out of the auction yard, it gets a complete tear-down to assess the damage.

Being the first Corvette ever in the shop, the guys at vTuned Garage get excited to roll it off the trailer and get to work. Judging by the build sheet that is still in the glove box, they have a 2022 C8 with the LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine good for 495 HP and 470 lb-ft of torque in stock form. While the back-right of the car looks like it took the brunt of the crash damage, the interior is in surprisingly great condition.

With the right rear of the car completely twisted and damaged, the guys get to work fabricating a temporary fix in order to roll the Corvette off the trailer. Miraculously after taking off the wheel, the lower control arm and the shock are the only parts visibly broken.

Attaching a metal tube with two bolts welded to it does the trick to secure the control arm. Some light work with the Sawzall and drill and the guys have another workable piece of metal supporting the broken shock.

With a temporary donut tire on the rear-right and another go-round welding the control arm, the Corvette is able to slowly roll off the trailer. Tackling the interior, the guys at vTuned show relief finding that only the passenger's right-side airbag deployed. Pulling both seats out of the car, they are able to clean up the front of the cabin of broken window glass and debris.

Channeling their inner investigator, they conclude the passenger was drinking a Starbucks at the time of the crash as there is a dark, sticky residue on the dash and passenger door card. Taking off the front bumper and hood next, the only damage assessed is a slightly bent right radiator and shroud. With almost half of the car already gone through, vTuned expects to have the C8 Corvette back on the road in no time.
